About HiTide Gymnastics Club

HiTide Gymnastics Club, founded in January 2022, now has over 200 happy gymnasts attending our home gym and school clubs on a weekly basis. Our sub-division, HiTide Xtra, provides high quality, extra-curricular gymnastics classes to various prep and primary schools within Brighton and surrounding areas. These schools include;

At HiTide, we are driven by our passion for teaching the sport. Helping a child to achieve the move of their dreams, whilst having fun in a comfortable and supported setting, is the mission we set to endeavour. We have often had parents tell us that their child previously showed no interest in the sport, but because of our fun and dynamic lessons, they have in turn, developed a passion for gymnastics.

It is our glowing feedback that makes us unique, as we cater to every individual so they progress at their own pace, in their own time. Although we focus on achievement, this is subjective. We therefore celebrate all achievement, whether this is mastering a forwards roll, or executing a back handspring.

At HiTide, we celebrate all of our gymnasts equally and enthusiastically.

FOUNDER
I love gymnastics! I take great pleasure in teaching gymnasts moves they’ve always wanted to learn. It is the most rewarding part of my job. I have extensive experience in coaching the sport to children and adults in both Brighton and London. I was a recreational gymnast when I was younger, but quickly found at age 14, that teaching, rather than training was my passion. Coaching doesn’t ever feel like work to me, so I’ve set out to find coaches who feel the same…
Izzy

Hello! I’m Isabelle, often referred to as Izzy. I am currently studying aerospace engineering at the University of Brighton. With 7 years as a competitive gymnast, I now love coaching, helping young gymnasts find joy in the sport as much as I did. My focus is on engaging, dynamic lessons that inspire and motivate. Coaching is rewarding for me as it allows me to pass on my love for gymnastics, making every session enriching for both the gymnasts and myself.

Francesca

My name is Francesca, one of the coaches for HiTide Gymnastics. I am currently doing my degree in Primary School teaching at Brighton University. I trained in gymnastics from the age of 10 until I was 15. I then moved onto cheerleading for around a year. I am now enjoying sharing my passion for the sport as a coach!

Lucie

Hi, I’m Lucie! I am a level 1 gymnastics coach who has been coaching for 4 years. Prior to this I was an elite artistic gymnast for 9 years competing at national level. I love being able to share my passion of gymnastics and sport through coaching and thouroughly enjoy helping our gymnasts to have fun learning new skills. I am currently at Sussex university studying business and doing competitive level 3 cheerleading :)

Hi I'm Alfie. I have worked with young people for many years and I trained gymnastics from the ages of 6 until 11. Through coaching I hope to pass on my enthusiasm and knowledge for the sport!

Maria

Hi, I’m Maria Moxey I am a Level 2 gymnastics coach and level 1 trampolining. I trained as a gymnast at OLGA Gymnastics Club and competed for the senior team in Team-Gym. I have coached gymnastics for 15 years and have taught a range of abilities from recreational through to squad and coached a range of ages from young children up to adults. I have a passion for gymnastics and love to share the passion and joy I have for the sport with those I teach.
